Moving Out of Ontario?

Driver's licence

If you are moving out of Ontario, you can return or exchange your licence to apply for a refund on the remaining time. Check your new province's requirements for using and transferring your Ontario licence.

OHIP coverage

If you are moving permanently to another province or territory, OHIP will continue to cover you until the last day of the second full month after you leave Ontario. Make sure to apply for coverage in your new province as soon as possible.

Moving to Ontario from another province

If you have just arrived in Ontario, check whether your out-of-province driver's licence needs to be exchanged for an Ontario licence.
